There are many markets or Souqs as named in Arabic, as each city has its own Souqs, in addition to the supermarkets and the modern shops in the major cities, and note that the bargaining with the merchant is a normal thing, and many people enjoy doing it.
There are many restaurants in each city, serving a variety of Oriental and European dishes beside the habulebaple. The fast food & take away restaurants are available in the main cities.
Table service is the norm and a meal is paid for afterwards. and meals are served late " lunch from 13:00 to 16:00 and dinner from 20:00 to 22:00 "

The capital of Jordan, is a rapidly growing city with busy commercial and administrative center, contain many ruins and ancient sites as well as fine hotels, restaurants and museums to make a harmony of history and modernity, which give her a distinguished style. You can visit, the Citadel, the Temple of Hercules and the Roman Theatre

Jerash                                   50 km from Amman
The ancient Roman city comprising the ruins of ancient city of Gerasa dating back 6500 years, there is much to see in this city such as the paved and colonnaded street, the soaring hilltop temples, the theatres, the bathes and fountains, the public squares and sculptures. A big cultural festival is held in Jerash in July every year transforming the ruins into liveliest sites.

Madaba & Mount Nebo         30 km from Amman
The city of Mosaics, its considered as one of the worlds largest collections of ancient mosaics, the most important one is the magnificent map of ancient Palestine, a superb depiction of the holy land in the 6th century with many towns and rivers.
Nearby is Mount Nebo which is the most revered site in Jordan, and was an important stopover in the pilgrimage journey coming form the Holy Land. A small church was built early 393 then gradually expanded to become a huge complex containing a monastery and a modern building which contain many ancient mosaic tablets. Near this building and from a platform you can see the Dead Sea and Jerusalem if the weather is clear

The lowest point on earth, which has its own unique beauty and spiritual legacy, the gently quiet waters is rich in minerals. When there be sure to do the two unique experiences in this area; the first is the relaxation in water without sinking, even you can read a book while you are lying on your back, the second one is covering your body with the black mineral mud.

Petra                                              226 km from Amman
It is one of the most famous ancient sites in the world. This astonishing rose-red city hiding between mountains is the legacy of the Nabateans who settled in this area more than 2000 years ago. There are many things to see and discover in this hidden city, such as the Siq, Al Khaznah the Treasury , Al Deir the Monastery, the Royal Tombs, the Theatre, the Colonnaded street. And note that you can do this long tour by camels or horses, but for some high places its better to get a donkey

Wadi Rum                                   311 km from Amman
